Terms of Service
Last updated: 31 July 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Seafarer Trust Network (the “Service”), operated by Oleksandr Mykhailichenko (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. The Service
Seafarer Trust Network is a professional-identity platform for seafarers. It lets you record your sea service, have it confirmed by colleagues and/or administrators, anchor verified records on a public blockchain, build a Trust Score, and export a verifiable certificate and CV. The Service does not employ, recruit, or place seafarers and is not a substitute for official documentation issued by flag states, administrations, or employers.
2. Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for keeping your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- submit false, misleading, or fraudulent service records or identity information;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation with any vessel or company;
- attempt to manipulate verifications, the Trust Score, or endorsements;
- upload unlawful content or infringe the rights of others;
- disrupt, probe, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service.
4. Verification & on-chain records
Verification relies on colleague confirmations and administrator review. We do not guarantee that any record will be verified. When a record is verified it may be permanently anchored on a public blockchain (Base, via the Ethereum Attestation Service). Such on-chain records are immutable and public: they cannot be altered or deleted, by you or by us. Do not submit records you are not willing to have verified and anchored publicly. See our Privacy Notice for how this affects your personal data.
5. Seafarer PRO & payments
Certain features are offered as a paid subscription (“Seafarer PRO”). Payments are processed by our reseller and merchant of record, Paddle.com Market Ltd(“Paddle”), who is responsible for the checkout, billing, and tax. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s buyer terms. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. Prices are shown at checkout and may change with notice for future billing periods. Cancellation and refunds are described in our Refund Policy.
6. Intellectual property
The Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, is owned by us or our licensors. You retain ownership of the content you submit and grant us a licence to host, process, and display it as needed to operate the Service (including publishing verified records on-chain and on your public profile).
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any verification reflects the legal validity of a seafarer’s qualifications.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for any loss of data, profits, or opportunities arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Records already anchored on-chain will remain public and immutable after termination.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law & contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions about these Terms: support@seafarertrust.com.
